MARIETTA, Ohio (Oct. 6, 2009) - Deborah A. Myers, executive vice president and Health Practice director with CRT/tanaka, will be honored as Marietta College’s Distinguished Alumna during the school’s homecoming ceremonies Oct. 15-18. With nearly 25 years of health care public relations and marketing experience, Debbie has a strong background in strategic PR planning, branding, positioning and reputation management. Along with serving as a CRT/tanaka management team member and Health Practice director, Debbie also serves as general manager of CRT/tanaka’s Norfolk, Va., office, one of the agency’s five locations.
Prior to joining CRT/tanaka, Myers was director of corporate communications for Sentara Healthcare, a seven-hospital integrated health care system in Virginia, where she managed public relations, corporate communications and government relations.
Before entering the field of public relations, Myers worked in radio and television as a newscaster, assignment editor, news director and talk show host.
Myers earned a B.A. degree in mass communications from Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio and an MBA from Averett University in Danville, Va.
