As a member of CRT/tanaka’s senior management team, Brian is responsible for managing the agency’s whatcanbe Lab. He also leads the agency’s media training and crisis communications consultancy. Brian has previous experiences working with health clients and consumer products brands, such as Welch’s Fruit Juice Bars and Eskimo Pie. Brian also has managed major client events, attracting international media, which include the 50th anniversary celebration of Mount Rushmore, Advil’s sponsorship of the Senior PGA Championship and most recently the U.S. Centennial of Flight Celebration, which commemorated the Wright brothers’ historic first flight.
Clients in need of crisis counseling and media training have tapped into Brian’s media experience. Since joining CRT/tanaka, Brian has worked with several Fortune 500 companies including Wyeth, Ford Motor Company, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Smurfit-Stone Corporation, Albemarle Corporation and Dominion. He has helped prepare clients for interviews on national network programs like ABC’s “Nightly News,” ABC’s “20/20,” NBC’s “Today Show,” CBS’ “The Early Show,” MSNBC and CNN. Prior to joining CRT/tanaka, Brian worked for nine years in television news as an Emmy award-winning reporter, anchor and producer. In addition to working for local network affiliates, he also contributed to national networks like CNN, CBS and ABC.
